I am a librarian in training and a participant in the reading Wikipedia in the classroom program for teachers 2021 Cohort. I may not have the practical experience yet but I think some of the points identified below will assist you.

How does it benefit your work?

As a librarian and wikimedian in elementary schools, it will benefit my work by promoting my research skills to summarise and synthesize information for information seekers; provide excellent opportunities for me to up-skill and advance my knowledge of information repackaging and delivery and also help to incorporate digital technologies and E-learning into my librarianship experience.

What is a good resource to check for working on open content with these target groups?

I have done classroom presentations for 3rd and 4th graders and middle school students, and hope to do that again later this year. Also helped plan a middle school edit-a-thon, which was organized by librarians. Please let me know if you'd like to be in touch with them.

Very interested in connecting with others who have done this.
