The link leads to an account which was deleted on 3 September 2015. His correct page link is https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Danny_B.
(The same is true of some request links where a period has to be added to the clicked link.)

Anyway, thanks to MF-Warburg for making us aware of the issues. Otoh, you yourself seem to have defended him in 2013, saying "Decently active and known from other projects to have a great experience to help with technical stuff." - so, okay, I didn't read the entire list of all threads but we definitely need more people on LangCom who can help with backlogs. Some of us (myself included) do not have the necessary expertise to handle those - different LangCom members are on this committee for different reasons -, so if Danny B. were rejected, who else would be willing and able to help with "technical stuff"?

Letting my +1 stay for the moment (not unequivocally, though, as the reservations expressed in the annual discussions around his Global editinterface requests really do cause me concerns), and fwiw,
Oliver

Well, that is indeed his wiki name: <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Danny_B.>

That said, I have to oppose this request.
"Very experienced" with Incubator is not true, even though he is a long-time sysop there, in the handling of a recent request it turned out that he knew almost nothing about the Incubator policy. He even offered to resign as a bureaucrat back then, but didn't follow through with it.
Also in my past interactions with him I have never noticed an interest in the Requests for new languages, so I do wonder where this requests comes from now.

Also I'm very concerned about other issues surrounding him. Many users have problems with his behaviour, as can be seen in e.g. these requests:
<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Administrators/Confirm_2013/4#Danny_B.>
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Steward_requests/Global_permissions/2013-09#Global_editinterface_for_Danny_B.>
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Steward_requests/Global_permissions/2014-08#Global_editinterface_for_Danny_B.>
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Steward_requests/Global_permissions/2015-08#Global_editinterface_for_Danny_B.>

I also know of some test-wiki contributors who have privately told me that Danny B. claimed they are his "enemies" - I don't think this would be conducive to a neutral handling of requests.

Given these problems, I do not think it would be good if Danny B. became a langcom member.

Best regards,
MF-W

Can you give us a link to his wikimedia page so we can get to know him? I didn't want to assume that "Danny B." was his wiki name ...

Otherwise +1

Hi,

Danny B., a veteran Czech Wikimedia volunteer, asked me about joining the Langcom.

He is already very experienced with the Incubator, and he can help with cleaning up the long requests backlog, so I support this.
