Hi Brian,

thanks a lot for your valuable feedback. If you like, you can add it. Of course everybody is welcome to edit the page.

Regards Nico

Cool.

In many ways, this is a real eye opener as to how far gwtoolset needs to go before it is easy to use.

Some minor things I think should be changed (not sure if this page is the type of think you want just anyone to edit or not):

>With server-side uploads, file uploads without any size limit are possible.

Actually the limit is 4 GiB for server side uploads.

>It is best to choose a username which corresponds to the name of your institution

That depends on which wiki you primarily tend to edit in. En wikipedia has a thing about potentially shared user accounts (where more than one person might have access to the account). I would reccomend usernames of the form "individual's name (institution name)" if you have any intention to edit the english wikipedia (or just in general. Most wikis dont have en 'pedia's anal retentiveness over shared accounts, but probably all of them would be fine with a "person (institution)" type username, and some may prefer it over just "institution name" even if they dont make any objections to that form)

The guide should maybe more strongly suggest people note their affliation on their user page, and suggest they create a meta user page noting it (since meta user pages are copied everywhere). I doubt that anyone is going to start a paid editing kerfuffle over a museum account, but given what a hot button issue that is, we probably should err on the side of caution when it comes to disclosing their affiliation.

For verifying account - the guide says dewiki only, but commons username policy indicates commons supports doing that too.
