I think this second "linked from X by Y" construction will be interpreted
as "linked from page X, which is written by Y", so you might get a bit of
confusion there - the sense that Y made the link is less clear.

Just an idea. Andrew has a good point that some other notifications start
with a username, but the syntax I proposed above might be an exception to
consider, because it reminds you why you care about who generated this link
notif. "[Page you started] was linked from [other page] by [person]."
However, we implement, this is a Good Idea. :)
