(Please excuse the cross-posting.)
Hi outreach-focused people!
In case you haven't seen Sage's blog post[1] or didn't see me at Wikimania,
we have a new brochure that introduces newbies to contributing files to
Wikimedia Commons, called "Illustrating Wikipedia: A guide to contributing
content to Wikimedia Commons"[2]. Design files are available in both
Scribus and InDesign, and the text is available for translation through the
translatewiki extension[3]. I'm excited to see it's nearly complete in
Spanish, and translations are underway in French, Polish, Swedish, and
Turkish!
I have some printed copies available in English. If you're doing an event
and having printed copies of the brochure in English would be useful,
please let me know offlist how many you need, what mailing address I should
send them too, and when you need them by. This offer is also open for the
Welcome to Wikipedia[4] brochure, the Evaluating Wikipedia[5] brochure, the
Instructor Basics[6] brochure, the Case Studies[7] brochure, and the
Syllabus[8] brochure. Of course, they're all also available on Commons if
digital copies will suffice.
I hope the new brochure is useful to your work!
LiAnna
