More food for thought: At WMCon we (Collab members, and also other people that were interested in education) created 3 proposed statements on education. Those statements are in no way final. Rather you will probably find them ambitious, which is perfectly ok when we're thinking about 2030. I would like to suggest you read them, think about what they mean to you, possibly come up with better wording, note which parts don't fit your mindset.

You can find the statements in this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YMl7NiNYtj64abclb762FCkvhAUYmEY_x-3i5amVfpY/edit#gid=0 The education statements are in rows 9-11 You'll also get a chance to see the other statements that were created during WikiCon.

The same 3 statements on education can be seen in these pictures:

We have less than 24 hours before we meet, but this is probably a good starting point to get the discussion rolling.

See/Hear you tomorrow!

Dear Collab members,

We're approaching our April meeting, where we'll discuss how we look at the strategy as a whole. Please take some time to read the following: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Strategy/Wikimedia_movement/2017/Process/Briefing

Dear Collab members,

As discussed this morning, it might be handy to think about the future of education as we prepare to discuss the strategy of the Wikimedia movement, and our involvement in it. I'd like to share a couple of links to get that thread started:

Peter Diamandis, who spends a lot of his time thinking about the next couple of decades and what will be happening on the side of technology, gives a talk to educators:
