In 2018, our team worked on revamping the Education space on Outreach Wiki. The current space includes a new user-friendly design and many platforms for the community and affiliates involved in Wikimedia Education projects to share their work. Over the last two years, we have adopted a new logo for Wikimedia Education, we are promoting the Education brand with the help of the community through the resources and guidelines that can be found here.
While the new pages make the Education space accessible, there is still some work to do, and for this we want to encourage and support the Wikimedia education community to take ownership of the Outreach Wiki space. We are setting a goal for the education space in Outreach Wiki to be curated entirely by community members across the Wikimedia movement: education leaders like you who will lead in documenting, organizing, sharing, and archiving the work done by our diverse Wikimedia education communities.
We are introducing:
Community Communications Collaborators (or CCC) are a dynamic group of Wikimedians working along with the education team at the Wikimedia Foundation. Together we will support education leaders and other stakeholders in our movement with better networking and communication practices for growth. To encourage participation and to recognise the works of the collaborators, we have decided certain rewards on completing different milestones. We encourage volunteers from all regions and genders to be a part of this project! We expect the group of Community Communications Collaborators to represent the diversity of our movement and the call for participation will be open until we achieve this goal.
