Diederik, thanks for all of your work over the past few years. It's been great working with you and I hope we can find something that's a match elsewhere in the Foundation. For those of you who don't know, in addition to the work Toby mentioned, Diederik was the researcher for the Editor Trends Study in 2010, as well as one of the leads of the Summer of Research in 2011. We continue to use the findings from this research in our work today.

Dario, congrats on your promotion -- much deserved! You're a clear thought leader in helping us become a more data-informed organization, and I look forward to continuing our work together.

Congrats to Aaron as well!

Diederik played a significant role in introducing both Hadoop and Kafka
to the Foundation's technology stack, and in introducing Scrum to the
