The WikiIndaba Steering Committee (WISCom) has two volunteer positions open for Wikimedians in Africa and the diaspora to apply. 

If you are passionate about African community activation and development, providing support to events/ conference planning and administration, you can apply here.

WISCom was formed in 2018 to oversee the process of the WikiIndaba conference and support African Wikimedians who associate with WikiIndaba.This came after a resolution was taken to lift the burden of constant burnout from WikiIndaba conference organisers. In this regard, WISCom is composed of representatives from previous Wiki-Indaba organisers, current WikiIndaba Conference Local Organising Committee (LOC), and three volunteers from the wider community.

The due date for applications is 5 August 2022.
